Paranoia
A quote from Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism:
This is the attitude of paranoia: if you look too closely, you will find something fearful.
True if not new?
I don't know why I'm reading this. The first half was somewhat helpful. The second half has been just confusing. The bits I remember are a bunch of little abstract stories about monkeys and things. They connect together well enough, but I don't like them. They make me feel more paranoid than I already was about all this "ego" stuff. What's the point in going on?
But I probably will go on, because I want to check off that box and say that I Read It. It doesn't make sense. Who cares if it makes sense? Who's doing the caring?
