"Oh, hey, here's this thread about wanting vs. knowing what I want. That sounds like the kind of thing we like!"

"Hmm, but weren't we supposed to be thinking about what we're going to say?"

"It can't hurt to take a break. Maybe we'll find inspiration."

"Good point. Let's look at that thread!"

Silence. Clicking.

"Hey, weren't we supposed to be doing something?"

"Oh. Oh. Oh yeah, I guess we were."

"What if we sent that thing? It's probably good enough, right?"

"Yeah, but it's too late now. Moment's over."

"What?"

"The moment's over. The magic is gone. It doesn't feel right anymore."

"We could just send it anyway, right?"

"Yeah, but it's too late. Probably won't get a response. And it might be annoying. What if they're sleeping?"

"But they're in the same time zone. It's only five o'clock. Or — they're somewhere in America. If anything it's earlier there."

"Hmm, oh. But it's a Saturday. People do things on Saturday evenings. And nights. Late is earlier on Saturday."

"... Yeah okay kind of true. But still, it's not like it matters. Right?"

"So?"

"You're gonna try to make me do something, aren't you?"

"Maybe..."

"I've said I'm strictly not about that kind of thing."

"You have."

"Yeah."

"Yeah..."

"Well. Maybe next time, right?"

"Yeah, probably."

"Yeah, I don't believe it either."

"Okay, so what if we did that? What if we sent that thing?"

"Hmm, but so much is coming up with that topic. Where do I even cut it off? I want to give a precise picture of what is coming up. I want to be exacting."

"So we've been at this for nearly ten minutes now. Does this seem good?"

"Hmm, I can think of a few ways this could be misinterpreted. This word choice is sort of ambiguous as to what my experience is. I'm not directly describing it at all. Also it is too long. Four sentences? Pretty vague? What is there to go on?"

"Okay, fair enough. What if we got more specific? What if we picked just one thing? One thing to respond to and one story that relates to it."

"Yeah, you think so?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah, just delete the last two."

"Yeah, it'll be fine."

"But wait, this is joking, in plaintext. We were warned about that. What if it's misinterpreted as serious?"

"Well it's for one joking about something that is true, not something I want to be false. But also it's probably fine. It's a DM. If it comes up, clarify."

"Is that a thing? Can we do that? What if we don't even know?"
