Taking care

I'm finding that "taking care" in some sense is more available the last few months than it's been in the past few years. So, things like:

  1. Putting stuff away, as inspired by Tidying Up. Like: Folding and putting away a blanket I'm not using at the moment. Making the bed when I get up. Vacuuming.
  2. Talking to people and keeping up with how they're doing. I did this already sometimes, but I notice it is more available with some people where it didn't feel available before.
  3. Using lip balm.
  4. Offering help to people around me proactively, and following through on it.

It's of course not there in all situations. But I'm liking the benefits when it is present. My lips feel a lot better when I take care of them instead of chewing and tearing the skin.

I blame meditation, but who knows.
