Humility ain't worth jack shit

I hate everything I have ever read that exalts humility as a virtue. If I could scorch out of existence every sentence that ever described humility as a virtue, I would do it in a heartbeat. The only aspect of what other people call humility that is worth anything is perspective. But that's not what humility means to me.

Humility to me means talking about oneself as having little worth or value. It's a hangdog way of speaking and thinking about oneself. And that's bullshit. That's the part that's easiest to measure and grade other people on, so sickeningly enough, that's what people praise. It is bad, full stop. It is bad for people to think and speak of themselves as less than they are and it's even worse to encourage them to do so by calling it a virtue.

Fuck humility. Humility ain't worth jack shit.
