I checked the minimum length of a belt ramp in Dyson Sphere Program

Dyson Sphere Program's belt ramps demand that you go out two tiles for every level you go up or down, plus two more tiles for horizontal landings at either side. So a ramp from ground level to 4 levels above ground must end, at minimum, 10 tiles away from the starting point. That is, if you want to go up or down \(x\) levels, your ramp must end at least \(2x + 2\) tiles away (in a straight line?) from the belt where you started. The total length of belt in a minimum-size ramp is \(2x + 3\), including the starting point.
